THE BEGINNING:

Matthew built his first house in 1991 and has continuously been involved in construction, renovations, historic preservation and property development.

CERTIFICATION

Casa Tua Construction Group, LLC is a State Certified General Contractor, license number CGC1526837. Matthew is the qualifier and completed the 3 part Florida license exams with some of the top scores in the state. He further met or exceeded the state's licensing requirement with regards to experience, background checks and financial requirements. As the construction industry continues to change, Matthew stays aligned with trends, techniques, materials and building codes and best practices. He also holds several other licenses and designations.

FAMILY

Matthew believes in family. This extends from his construction family, community family and personal family. Loyalty is a key factor, and our subcontractors and vendors are considered part of the Casa Tua family. Matthew is married with an amazing Brazilian woman and has two boys, a 10 year old and a 21 year old serving our country in the U.S Army who just returned from a deployment in Afghanistan.

OUR ETHOS

The “Ethos” name has a Greek origin and is used to describe the distinguishing character, sentiment, moral nature, or guiding beliefs of a person, group or society. Ethos doesn’t translate into English very well because it embodies several elements. Basically, to have good ethos, ones must possess three traits:

AN EDUCATED CLIENT IS A GREAT CLIENT

Take the time to learn about your contractor. At a minimum, check in your county or the state's Construction Industry Licensing Board (CILB) to be sure that your contractor is properly licensed. You can also check if there have been complaints. Also, ask for General Liability and Workers' Compensation Certificates of insurance (COI) in advance. Check if the name of the business is that same name listed on their legal and insurance documents. If they are not, ask why. Working with a licensed and insured contractor protects you. Our Florida License number is CGC1526837.
